We are your neighbors, friends, and coworkers! We are based in Randolph County, Alabama and are primarily trying to spread the Gospel in our area. However, if someone else is encouraged by these efforts, then praise God!
You may be wondering...why is this site called "Diligent Christian?" Let me assure you that it is not because we claim to be perfectly diligent Christians. It is because that is our goal.
Diligence is a quality that we are all called to have in our lives! We are to keep God's precepts diligently (Psalms 119:108), keep our heart diligently (Proverbs 4:20-27), diligently seek God in faith (Hebrews 11:6), be diligent to be found without spot and blameless (2 Peter 3:10-16), and we are to diligently add to our faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity (2 Peter 1:5-8). As you can see, diligence is a vital part of our lives! God will not accept slothful Christians! Therefore, this website is intended to support those striving to live acceptably and diligently before God. It is a long-term project with plans of adding many more resources over time.
Currently, the site provides access to a Bible Reading Plan and the Questions that have been developed to follow along with it as well as a few sermons and resources. The questions are meant to provide you with some direction to your Bible Study; to help you think deeply about the Word of God and not just casually read the chapters.
Consequently, there may be nothing here that will help you now, but hopefully through the upcoming years it will provide something that will help you in your walk with God. Feel free to use any of the resources on this site for your own purposes. We hold no copyright on the work. It is freely provided to you with the understanding that you will freely use it in your life.
If you would like to be added to the weekly email that distributes the questions, please click on "Email Request" above and send the requested information.
May God bless us all as we study and grow from HIS WORD!
Who are these folks?
God wants us to love him.
The Greek word for this is “Agape” and it means to be committed to, do good for, live for. So when God wants us to love him with our heart, soul, and mind, He’s asking for more than our feelings. Do you love God?
